JRoberts & RJ Payne Are A Deadly Duo In “Keep It Moving”

Rating: 3.5 out of 5.

JRoberts is a stalwart in the realm of underground hip-hop, consistently delivering unapologetic and gritty bangers that stand toe-to-toe with the offerings from Griselda artists. His authentic and raw style has resonated with fans, and as someone who grew up on JRoberts’ style of music, you find a sense of satisfaction in the continuation of his impactful sound.

JRoberts experienced significant success in 2023, collaborating with top-notch rappers like ShowRocka, Conway The Machine, and Benny The Butcher, while also amassing substantial streams for tracks like “All Or Nothing.” It will be interesting to see the major moves he makes in 2024; perhaps an album is on the horizon? Kicking the year off with “Keep It Moving” certainly sets a positive tone.

“Keep It Moving” boasts one of the coldest beats I’ve heard in a while, and it’s no coincidence the track dropped in January. Fortunately, JRoberts and featured guest RJ Payne bring the heat. In their verses, they discuss annihilating beats, outclassing their competition, and hitting their prime. JRob’s verse stands out for its slick flows, impressive wordplay and clever punchlines. RJ Payne’s verse, on the other hand, exudes the ferocity of an animal ready to feast on its prey. The combination of these two styles makes for an exceptional listening experience.
