Yelawolf & Cowboy Killer Link Up For “Day Dreams”

Rating: 4 out of 5.

Seeing Yelawolf return to the music scene with “Day Dreams” featuring Cowboy Killer is exciting. Known for his distinctive blend of deep lyrics and country influences, the Alabama native has a unique style that sets him apart. This new single could be a promising indicator of what’s coming from him this year.

Yelawolf sounds hungry as hell in “Day Dreams.” In the song, which is powered by this soulful, emotional hip-hop beat, he speaks on overcoming odds, having a crazy work ethic, his mother’s successful battle with cancer, and all the people around him that he has lost. More than anything, I love how gritty and raw this song sounds. To be more specific, it doesn’t feature infectious melodies or fun rap styles; it simply features bars from someone who has gone to seven games with their fight with mud.

Give Yelawolf and Cowboy Killer’s “Day Dreams” a shot below.
