Do you know what I absolutely love? When individuals who are on the larger side embrace and refer to themselves as such. To me, it shows they aren’t affected by what the naysayers have to say. Today, a new collaboration track with Finesse2Tymes and Rick Ross called “Fat Boy” hit streaming services. Though I wouldn’t categorize either of the two musicians as “fat” (They’re both on the big-boned side), in the song, they certainly do their thing.
In “Fat Boy,” Finesse2Tymes reflects on his remarkable rise, boasts about being “bout it” like Master P and Silkk The Shocker, and disregards those wishing for his downfall. He also expresses affection for McDonald’s, lauding the dollar menu as a practical choice from his earlier days. In Rick Ross’s verse, he primarily raps about his extravagant lifestyle while emphasizing his reputation for dealing with adversaries and attracting appealing women.
Despite the song having a comical title, its tone is quite serious. Not only does it incorporate an emotional beat with soulful elements, but Finesse2Tymes and Rick Ross deliver focused performances throughout, demonstrating that they are two “fat boys” who don’t easily lose their breath.
Would you rather be called too fat or too skinny? OK, that’s a dumb question.
