SHADNR Makes “No Promises”

Rating: 4 out of 5.

SHADNR is the latest musician from Canada who is more talented than everyone else. Over the past few years, he has consistently delivered certified bangers with incredible beats, catchy hooks, and authentic raps. Unfortunately, it’s worth noting that SHADNR doesn’t release new music frequently. To start the year, he dropped a four-track EP titled I Miss Happiness, Vol. 1, featuring the standout track, “No Promises.”

SHADNR exudes unapologetic confidence in “No Problem.” His verses boldly declare a singular focus on acquiring wealth, relegating everything else – haters, fake women, and competition – to the background. His unwavering stance showcases a formidable stiff-arm game that commands attention.

The sonic elements of “No Promises” are truly impressive. The haunting beat, which knocks harder than a Jehovah’s Witness, is undeniably powerful. Additionally, I love how SHADNR glides on the beat, delivering cold yet highly infectious melodic raps. When you add his unapologetic lyrics to the equation, you get 2024 hip-hop gold.

Montreal is producing some incredibly cool individuals, and SHADNR is definitely one of them.
