YUNGBLUD & Lil Yachty Join Forces For “When We Die (Can We Still Get High?)”

Rating: 3.5 out of 5.

In the midst of a music industry that is becoming more and more genre-less, staying versatile is crucial to remain relevant. YUNGBLUD and Lil Yachty are two young artists who embody versatility. They join forces in the former’s latest single, “When We Die (Can We Still Get High?).”

The lyrics we get in “When We Die (Can We Still Get High?)” are potent, exploring themes of convincing women to get high, pondering the existence of dealers in heaven, and seeking a path to happiness while under the influence. While these lyrics may not fully resonate while you’re sober, pop something, and they might blow your mind.

The psychedelic and smooth-flowing instrumentation that drives “When We Die (Can We Still Get High?)” serves as the perfect backdrop to enhance the experience of being high. YUNGBLUD and Lil Yachty complement the production by delivering hypnotizing, infectious, and soulful vocal performances. Despite not being personally inclined toward smoking or taking pills, there’s an undeniable appreciation for the artistry and atmosphere created in this song.

I hope YUNGBLUD and Lil Yachty didn’t try driving home after creating this track (I know they were high when they made it).
