Peewee Longway & NBA YoungBoy Reunite For “Nose Ring”

Rating: 3.5 out of 5.

After starting the year on the quiet side, NBA YoungBoy has emptied the clip these past few days. On Sunday, he dropped a single called “We shot him in his head huh” (Yikes), and last week, a freestyle called “BNYX Da Reaper.” Today, YoungBoy made his quick return with “Nose Ring,” a song that has him reuniting with Peewee Longway (the duo collaborated on a song featured in “AI YoungBoy”).

It’s intriguing to note the synergy between NBA YoungBoy and Peewee Longway in “Nose Ring” despite their age disparity (NBA YoungBoy is 24, and Peewee Longway is 39). Both artists convey a shared sense of dominance in their verses, issuing threats to adversaries while also boasting about lavishing their partners with luxuries.

These are the kind of NBA YoungBoy tracks that I f**k with, not his murderous s**t. In “Nose Ring,” we get infectious melodic raps from him that blend seamlessly with the dramatic, piano-heavy trap beat driving the track. Peewee Longway’s aggressive rap verse, featuring dynamic flows, adds another layer of excellence to the song.

Man, I can’t believe Peewee Longway is 39-years-old. Then again, I remember him making moves with Gucci back in ’06.
