IDK, Mick Jenkins & Saba Link Up For “Red Bull Spiral Freestyle”

Rating: 5 out of 5.

It’s interesting how the rap game has its A-listers like Drake, Lil Uzi Vert, and Nicki Minaj, but there’s a whole tier of incredibly talented artists who often fly under the radar. Saba, Mick Jenkins, and IDK are perfect examples of this. They may not have the same commercial visibility as the A-listers I mentioned, but their skill and artistry are undeniable. In their latest collaboration, “Red Bull Spiral Freestyle,” these three B-listers remind us why they deserve more recognition.

Kudos to Red Bull for orchestrating this collaboration. Over the past year, they’ve curated several installments, but none have matched the caliber of this eleventh edition. In “Red Bull Spiral Freestyle,” Saba, Mick Jenkins, and IDK deliver jaw-dropping bars. Their verses are competitive, introspective, authentic, and laden with wisdom. While Saba’s verse stands out to me, Mick impresses with his consistent flow, and IDK delivers a clever contribution.

For those skeptical oldheads who doubt the talent of the new school, I challenge you to listen to this track on repeat.
