Don Toliver Is Rolling “Deep In The Water”

Rating: 4 out of 5.

Congratulations to Don Toliver on the arrival of his first child with Kali Uchis! As a parent myself, I can imagine the whirlwind of experiences he’s been navigating: sleepless nights, a flood of well-wishing relatives, and countless diaper changes. Despite all this, Don has remained dedicated to his music career. Today, he returned to the music scene with his latest single, “Deep In The Water.”

In “Deep In The Water,” Don Toliver gets all sentimental on us, expressing his commitment to his partner through life’s challenges. He longs for moments with them to feel like the only two people in the world, although there’s a hint of messiness with a mention of his partner having another man. Despite this, Toliver’s lyrics offer moments of beauty in the song.

You’ll appreciate “Deep In The Water” for its smoothness—smoother than Gary Coleman’s hair. The song features dark, vibey production that perfectly complements Toliver’s slick, borderline whiny vocals. Overall, if you’re a fan of the Cactus Jack artist, you’ll vibe with this track.

Don Toliver has been going crazy with these motorcycles.
