Meek Mill & Millyz Link Up For “Soul Survivor”

Rating: 4 out of 5.

Everybody is talking about the “Big 3” being Drake, J. Cole, and Kendrick Lamar, but there was once a time when Meek Mill was considered just as hot as them. Things have subsided for him a bit, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t still capable of killing s**t. On Friday, a new single with Meek and Millyz hit streaming services, and as expected, it’s explosive.

When Meek Mill raps over some soulful s**t, he’s as unstoppable as Caitlin Clark; that’s exactly what happens in “Soul Survivor.” In the track, the Philadelphia rapper shines, blessing us with a hard-hitting verse that will remind you how street he is and why he drives around in a bulletproof car. Don’t sleep on Millyz either. He drops a tough-ass verse in which he flows extremely well, delivers high-level punchlines, and sounds like one of the grittiest white boys GOD has ever made. All in all, I think this is excellent music for a hip-hop soul.
