Rating: 4 out of 5.While Kendrick Lamar may be Drake’s primary opp at the moment, Kanye West is his original adversary. Over the years, the relationship between the Toronto rapper and Ye has fluctuated from cold to hot and back again. Currently, it’s on the colder side. The timing couldn’t be worse either, as Drake finds himself embroiled in a beef with 20 other individuals. Today, Ye added fuel to the fire by releasing “LIKE THAT (Remix),” a song in which he takes shots at Drake.
In “LIKE THAT,” Kanye West comes across as fully charged up. He raps with great energy and sounds like his usual humorous and confident self. But y’all don’t care about that. Y’all care about the disses, and I fully get it. That said, in the song, Kanye suggests that J. Cole’s music makes vajayjays dry and mocks Drake for selling his masters. He also asserts that nobody remembers any memorable Drake lines, which I think is a wild statement. Overall, I wouldn’t say Kanye went all-out nuclear in this verse, but he certainly did enough to provoke a response from the 6 God (I mean, all Rick Ross did was unfollow him and he shot several shots at him.).
