MoneyBagg Yo Says He’s “TRYNA MAKE SURE”

Rating: 3.5 out of 5.

MoneyBagg Yo remains one of my favorite rappers, but it’s undeniable that “Wockesha” shifted expectations for his music. While I don’t believe his rap skills have waned, it seems like the public now anticipates songs similar to that one, potentially overshadowing other releases. However, resilience is key in the industry, and MoneyBagg Yo exemplifies this by consistently putting out new music. Today, he continues to push forward with the release of his latest single, “TRYNA MAKE SURE.”

“TRYNA MAKE SURE” is a treat for dedicated MoneyBagg Yo fans, offering the familiar uptempo trap beat that’s synonymous with his style. True to form, he delivers a richly layered chorus, thematic verses filled with flexing, and a seamlessly smooth flow. While this track may not necessarily sway listeners who aren’t already fans of MoneyBagg Yo, it’s unlikely to make a significant impact. However, its infectious energy is sure to get bodies moving when played in the background at a club.

N***as want MoneyBagg Yo to drop “Wockesha 2: The Secret of the Ooze” so bad. It’s not happening, though.
