Kodak Black Brings Out His Introspective Side Once Again In “Dis Time”

Rating: 2 out of 5.

I really hate the fact that Kodak Black isn’t being discussed as one of the rappers that will take this rap s**t to another level. To me, when he’s focused, there aren’t many young rappers that can go bar for bar with him. The problem is that he rarely sounds focused. If I were to guess, Kodak is going through some s**t in his life, so rapping is not as much of a priority to him. He hints at some of the s**t that might be bothering him in his latest single, “Dis Time.”

In “Dis Time,” Kodak Black reflects on the harm he has caused over the years, his determination to overcome his drug habits, and his responsibilities as a parent. However, he also delves into some murderous s**t, so don’t think he’s just this completely saved n***a.

I don’t like how this song sounds. Kodak Black slurs in it a little too much for me, and the audio quality is murky. Also, the song doesn’t really flow well or sound structured at all. As I think about it, I’m completely good on this song.

SMH.

This song is good. Quincy is a bad writer.
