Young M.A. Says She’s Coming “Trim”

Rating: 3.5 out of 5.

Young M.A. appears to have found a brighter path lately. Just a few months back, she went off the grid, avoiding interviews, music releases, and public appearances. It wasn’t until late last year when she made a comeback with “Open Scars,” detailing her journey. In her newest single, “Trim,” she further explores her significant transformation.

Health equals wealth, a philosophy Young M.A. fully embraces. In “Trim,” she delves into shedding not just physical weight but also toxic relationships and negativity. Alongside her dietary habits and exercise regimen, she proudly flaunts her lavish chains while maintaining her assertive persona. Rather than a reinvention, she presents a disciplined iteration of her authentic self.

As expected, Young M.A. slides her ass off in “Trim,” hitting us with a super steady flow, concise lyrics, and effortless punchlines over this action-packed, “Put It On The Floor” type beat. She also sounds extra cocky, which tells me she’s entirely back to being in her bag.

Young M.A. doesn’t want to shed her violent habits, though?
