EMNL TOMMY Wants You To “Listen”

Rating: 5 out of 5.

EMNL TOMMY has a PSA for us.

EMNL TOMMY is a Christian rapper, singer, songwriter, and producer from Little Rock, Arkansas. While many hip-hop fans are inexplicably turned off by the term “Christian rap,” trust me, he can go toe-to-toe with your favorite rapper. At the same time, he does a good job of keeping it real with his lyrics, sharing messages that can genuinely improve your life. EMNL’s latest single, “Listen,” is one of his finest works to date.

“Listen” is powered by a terrifying, high-octane beat that would fit perfectly in a Stephen King movie from the ’90s. Thankfully, EMNL TOMMY shows zero fear in attacking it. Using an unbothered tone and tricky flows that switch gears fearlessly, TOMMY delivers potent lyrics that highlight his relentless mentality, his willingness to go to war with anyone, and his superior rap skills. He also speaks on the blessings he’s incurred these past few years. While I think TOMMY’s verses are fantastic, the chorus he gifts us is my favorite thing about the track.
