333Zilla & Freezy Diamond Join Forces “Switch Sides”

Rating: 5 out of 5.

333Zilla hasn’t missed a day in his life.

I’m not going to lie, ever since I learned about 333Zilla (aka RODZILLA), I’ve been playing his s**t nonstop. To me, the Toronto, Canada rapper has an excellent ear for music and is as trill as they come.

Though 333Zilla has been active since at least 2009, he seems to have hit his groove these past couple of years. I think this is in part because he’s been cooking up some heat with Toronto native, New York-based Freezy Diamond. Recently, the duo released a project called All Shlimes Speak Parseltongue. One of the best songs from the project is “SWITCH SIDES.”

In “SWITCH SIDES,” 333Zilla reminds us how cold the streets can be year-round. He mentions how much he hustles, deals with fake killers, and knows the trap like the back of his hand. At the same time, he gives the impression that he’s someone who has no problem living that way.

What I love about the track is how 333Zilla’s consistent flow, quirky vocals, and strung-out melodies layer on top of the cinematic, hard-hitting production courtesy of Freezy Diamond. Overall, I feel their connection is outstanding here.
