Mark Ferg Wants To “DO IT OVER”

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

What you know about this right here right here?

Honestly, I really appreciate it when young black artists incorporate elements of traditional and vintage R&B into their music. It indicates to me that they’ve immersed themselves in the genre, which is fantastic for the culture. Mark Ferg, in particular, embodies a very vintage R&B sound.

It’s really hard to discern the era of Mark Ferg’s music just by listening to it. For instance, if you had told me that a song of his, such as “Dedication,” was made in the ’70s, I would have believed you. Do you realize how amazing that is? Mark’s latest single, “DO IT OVER,” is yet another one that I perceive as having a timeless quality.

In “DO IT OVER,” Mark Ferg lets his woman know that he would rather be nowhere else in the world than with her. He also apologizes for his past mistakes, yearning for times to go back to how they were before he messed up. What I absolutely love about the track is how Mark shows great urgency, passion, and calmness throughout, with the soothing, slow-paced production serving as the perfect platform to let his emotions thrive. Very good s**t.
