Denzel Curry Joins Forces With TiaCorine & Ferg For “HOT ONE”

Rating: 4 out of 5.

It’s about to be a Denzel Curry summer.

I strongly believe Denzel Curry’s forthcoming project, King of the Mischievous South, Vol. 2, will be his most important release to date. Not only do I feel like he’s slowly becoming more of a household name, but I also feel like his style of music is becoming increasingly normalized and easier to consume.

One of the biggest things that stood out to me about the album’s tracklisting was the number of high-profile features. Everyone from Ty Dolla $ign to A$AP Rocky to That Mexican OT will make appearances on the project. Two other notable artists featured on the album are TiaCorine and FERG, who collaborate on a track titled “HOT ONE.”

In “HOT ONE,” Denzel Curry, TiaCorine, and FERG talk their s**t. They speak particularly about all the money they are making, the luxurious lifestyles they are living, and their playa ways. They also speak about their competitiveness, ensuring us that they are down to whoop ass despite their lofty statuses now.

Interestingly, the most dynamic verse on this track comes from FERG. I love how he recklessly switches gears with his flow over the uptempo Three Six Mafia-like production (the production definitely fits him the most). Don’t sleep on TiaCorine’s extra competitive verse and Denzel Curry’s catchy hook, though.

Give “HOT ONE” a shot below.
