“Bad Boys: Ride Or Die” soundtrack aligns with the explosiveness you see in the actual movie.

3. LIGHT EM UP (Ft. Will Smith & Sean Paul)
You get killer Will Smith bars in this track. Need I say more?
Are there better tracks on this album? Maybe. However, there’s something totally intriguing about hearing Will Smith rap in “LIGHT EM UP.” For starters, I haven’t heard him rap in a while. Additionally, there’s something about his verse that felt empowering, considering all he’s been through these past couple of years. Lastly, the verse is pretty damn good.
As for Sean Paul, he completes “LIGHT EM UP” with a fiery verse of his own, adding some reggae flavor that I think elevates things.
2. LIGHTS OUT (Ft. BIA & JID)
I love this sound for BIA.
I f**king love tracks like “LIGHTS OUT.” In it, you get introspective lyrics from BIA that speak of her determination to make it out of the hood, her confidence in her rap skills, and her appreciation for loyal individuals. JID also talks about getting it out of the mud, hitting us with a few bars here and there about slapping n***as up. I can always use content like this.
While BIA and JID’s rap verses are solid, I think the stars of the show are the production and BIA’s hook. The production is on some smooth, intergalactic s**t, while the hook is simple but invigorating.
1. TONIGHT (Ft. Black Eyed Peas, El Alfa & Becky G)
“TONIGHT” is such a slept-on EDM banger.
“TONIGHT” lives up to expectations with its explosive energy. The production is packed with exciting synths, heart-pounding beats, and a tempo that just begs you to dance all night long. Each featured artist brings their own flair to the track, seamlessly blending English and Spanish to deliver an exhilarating experience.
B-boys will clear out a dancefloor when they hear this type of track.

RGM RATING
(C+)
I usually don’t judge soundtracks by how good they are; I assess them by how well they align with the movie they are representing. That said, I think this soundtrack embodies what you would expect to feel when you watch Bad Boys: Ride Or Die. In the movie, I anticipate a lot of shooting scenes, chase scenes, and explosions. Therefore, it makes perfect sense that the music we get in this soundtrack has tons of energy in the form of explosive EDM bangers, catchy rap bangers, and infectious island bangers. Damn, I wish I could watch this s**t in the theatres.
