YG Calls On Kaliii & Stunna Girl For “SHAKE”

Rating: 3 out of 5.

YG likes fangirls.

YG is a very interesting artist. While he’s one of the toughest rappers in the game, known for creating hard-hitting bangers, he’s also crafted numerous provocative club anthems throughout his career.

Though I expect YG’s forthcoming album to have more than just club anthems, he decided to hype us up for it with, you guessed it, a new club anthem!

“SHAKE” is a 2024, Cali-inspired version of “Shake Ya Ass” by Mystikal. In the track, YG spits unapologetic bars about having freaks on call, chicks who want to be icy like Saweetie, and copping more feels than David. To call his rapping style unorthodox would be an understatement. He legitimately sounds like he’s chasing the beat with a blindfold on.

I actually think Kaliii and Stunna Girl take the song to another level. The two rappers drop killer verses that showcase their competitive sides, both in the bedroom and in the booth. Personally, I feel like their styles merge better than YG’s with the booming beat.
