Chance The Rapper Shines In “Stars Out”

Rating: 4 out of 5.

Chance The Rapper is in the midst of a very impressive comeback.

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: y’all have been too damn hard on Chance The Rapper these past couple of years. Yeah, he dropped a not-so-great album in The Big Day, but everyone has a not-so-great album on their resume (G-Eazy has several of them). That said, I anticipate Chance’s next album will be hotter than Kysre from the Chicago Sky. How do I know it will be good? Because he has been teasing it with a few hot-ass singles. His latest, “Stars Out,” is definitely one I f**k with.

Unlike his previous releases, we get a very cocky and loose Chance The Rapper in “Stars Out.” Throughout the song, he sons his competition, pats himself on the back, and brags about his cars over a beat that is both elegant and has enough knocks to make you nod your head. While I wouldn’t call his raps amazing, I do f**k with hearing this laidback version of Chance.

Chance The Rapper and Smino are starting to sound identical, no?
