Adele wants to explore new horizons.

Adele has revealed that she plans to take an extended break from music after the conclusion of her ‘Weekends With Adele’ series of concerts in Las Vegas, which is set to end in November.

“I don’t have any plans for new music, at all,’ the grammy winner states. ‘I want a big break after all this, and I think I want to do other creative things just for a little while.”

An extended break is not something new for fans; the typical gap between albums is usually around 3 to 5 years. However, the longest wait between Adele’s albums was almost 6 years, spanning from 2025 to 2021, with her albums 25 and 30.

I don’t plan on setting fire to the rain after hearing this, but I think it’s great that Adele is choosing to take a break. If she doesn’t feel inspired to create new music or lacks passion for it at the moment, it’s a wise decision. I’ve seen artists release music simply because they can, without that genuine desire, and the end result definitely feels different when passion isn’t driving it. So she should do music only when she’s ready, her return album will for sure a site to see, I’m guessing it’ll be titled “40” but no rush.

While she hasn’t stated what she plans to do next, she did do a fantastic job hosting SNL a few years back, if she wants to do comedy, I’ll for sure be watching, she does have the chops for it.
