Big Sean Returns With “Yes”

Rating: 3.5 out of 5.

Big Sean has been sounding cocky as hell lately (And I love it).

Amidst the ongoing Drake vs. Kendrick Lamar rivalry, Big Sean made waves with what I consider one of the standout singles of the year, “Precision.” His occasional freestyles also showcased his hunger, focus, and competitive spirit, amplified by the inspiration of fatherhood. With this, I’m eagerly anticipating Sean’s upcoming album.

Adding to the excitement, Big Sean returned to the music scene with a new single titled “Yes.”

You won’t stop nodding your head while listening to “Yes.” The track is driven by an uptempo, intense trap beat that demands attention. Big Sean brings an animated performance, switching up his flow from slow to fast with confidence, delivering bars about his successful lineage, his deep pockets, his relentless drive, and his encounters with big names like Jay-Z. While the hook doesn’t quite hit the mark for me, Big Sean’s high-energy throughout is compelling.

Sean gotta put names on some of these disses.
