Kai Cenat keeps the Drake fans fed… Sort-of.
Kai Cenat is currently one of the most influential figures in hip-hop media. How do we know this? He was ranked third on Complex’s 2024 list of important hip-hop media heads, just behind Akademiks and Joe Budden.
While you can debate his ranking, one undeniable fact is his love for hip-hop. Kai Cenat has also built numerous connections within the industry. Notably, he is cool with either Drake, Lil Yachty, or people from their camp.
While we usually get our Drake news directly from Akademiks, this time it was Kai Cenat who had some scoop for us. During a stream last night, he played an unreleased, untitled track by Drake and Lil Yachty. Apparently, he hadn’t heard it before playing it.

More Heat: Drake’s Top 5 Albums
If I had to guess, this track seems pretty old—likely from around the time of Drake’s Certified Lover Boy. The flow Drake uses reminds me of some s**t he retired (A Boogie is using the flow these days).
Content-wise, Drake also calls out a scandalous woman who’s slim and shady. As for Lil Yachty, he does his usual bizarre s**t, with a slightly off-beat flow and vocal inflections that make me a little nauseous, though his fans seem to love it. Overall, the track, which features this dope homage to Frank Ocean’s “Pyramid” classic track, is one that is a solid, unfinished-sounding banger.
Drake’s moves since “Not Like Us” dropped have been interesting. Aside from releasing one more response with “The Heart 6,” he’s been making strange guest appearances, like on “Wah Gwan Delilah” and “U My Everything.” I think we Drake fans are waiting to hear some heat with mad subs, and we might just have to wait a little longer. This snippet should keep folks slightly fed, though.
