Since U.S. President Joe Biden recently made the historic decision not to run for reelection, Vice President Kamala Harris is ramping up her campaign efforts.

In a new presidential campaign video, Beyoncé’s 2016 single “Freedom” plays as Harris outlines her positions on health care, gun violence, and reproductive rights, emphasizing various freedoms Americans are entitled to. The Vice President states, “The freedom not just to get by, but to get ahead. The freedom to be safe from gun violence. The freedom to make decisions about your own body.”

The song has also been featured at several of Harris’s campaign rallies, including a recent one in Wisconsin. While Beyoncé herself has not formally endorsed Harris, CNN reports that Beyoncé has approved the use of the song for the campaign. Additionally, Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowles, has endorsed Harris, praising her on Instagram with a post that reads, “New, youthful, sharp energy!!!!”
