Central Cee Delivers “gen z luv”

Rating: 4 out of 5.

Ice Spice’s rumored boyfriend is doing well right now.

I’m there now, guys: I believe Central Cee is a megastar. His face is hella recognizable, celebrities are showing him mad love, and, most importantly, he’s dropping some really good music.

These past couple of weeks, Cee has especially been on fire. He dropped “BAND4BAND” with Lil Baby, which is doing pretty well, a few freestyles, and an excellent verse on Ice Spice’s “Did It First.”

Keeping his foot on the gas, Central Cee returned to the music scene with a new single called “gen z luv.”

When our children ask us how did we meet
I’m tellin’ them, “Gen Z love, FYP love, IG love”

Central Cee in “gen z luv”

More Heat: Central Cee – BAND4BAND (Review)

For those who think meeting someone online is tough, Central Cee offers a different perspective. In “gen z luv,” he raps about encountering someone on Instagram who has completely shifted his views on kids, has him spending a lot of money, and has him looking like a simp.

What’s interesting about “gen z luv” is that the track boasts this drill beat that doesn’t quite sound fully finished. Because of this, Central Cee’s raps, which are delivered with his signature slyness, sound more potent. Like, this s**t borderline sounds like a love letter.

For someone who looks like he commits robberies on an annual basis, Central Cee makes a lot of love songs.
