BigXthaplug Calls Himself “The Biggest”

Rating: 4 out of 5.

I love it when people embrace who they are.

So many rappers today are blowing up who I wouldn’t have expected to five years ago, which shows how much the hip-hop game has evolved. For example, in 2017, it would’ve been hard to believe that someone like BossMan Dlow would get more streams than an artist like Trippie Redd. Another artist whose success has genuinely impressed me is Bigxthaplug.

On Spotify, Bigxthaplug is averaging over ten million streams, far surpassing what your average rapper pulls in. He also has several tracks that have exceeded 100 million streams, including “Mmhmm,” “Back On My BS,” “Levels,” and “Texas.” His latest single, “The Largest,” is also doing impressive numbers.

“The Largest” is fueled by a hard-hitting beat with an old-school Southern vibe that your grill-wearing uncle would absolutely love. Over this beat, Bigxthaplug confidently declares that he’s been balling for a long time while also reflecting on his rise to fame and the haters that have come with it. What stands out is Bigx’s deep voice, which has that classic Texas screw-and-chop feel.

Bigxthaplug is bigger than your favorite rapper’s favorite rapper (all puns intended).
