Post Malone is a changed man.
In just a few weeks, we’ll be getting a new album from Post Malone titled F-1 Trillion. From the singles released so far, it seems like the project will lean heavily into Country influences. Posty also confirmed that a significant portion of the album will include songs dedicated to his daughter.
In an interview with CBS Sunday Morning, Post Malone opened up about the profound impact his daughter has had on his life and music, even revealing the initials he has tattooed on his forehead in her honor. He also shared details about a track called “Yours,” which he wrote for his daughter’s eventual wedding—though she’s only two years old right now.
Later in the interview, Post Malone expressed deep gratitude towards his fiancée and daughter for transforming his life. He reflected on how, before meeting his fiancée, he struggled with “loneliness,” alcohol abuse, and frequent bouts of crying. Thankfully, he said he “doesn’t feel like that anymore,” calling it “the most amazing thing,” and added that he “needed to” go through that dark period to “figure out” who he is.
Now, here are my thoughts. As someone who recently became a parent myself, I can attest that it truly changes you. Things that once seemed important fade into the background, and you start to value the little moments. Children have a way of helping you understand your purpose in life, providing a sense of satisfaction that material possessions just can’t offer. Plus, they keep you on your toes, leaving no time to dwell in negativity. I’m genuinely happy for Post Malone that he’s found his peace.
