Ween Puts Tours On Indefinite Hiatus

Ween performing in Nashville in 2018

No tours for the foreseeable future!

Earlier this year, Ween’s Dean Ween announced the cancellation of the band’s April tour dates due to mental health concerns, stating, “I need to step away from performing live to preserve my mental and spiritual well-being and instead focus on myself and my loved ones.”

Now, in August, despite having completed three shows, it’s evident that Deaner needs more time. The band has announced on social media, “It is with sincere regret and heavy hearts that Ween must step away from the stage for the foreseeable future. This includes next month’s sold-out Chocolate and Cheese 25th Anniversary show at the Mann Music Center in Philadelphia. While we had three great shows this summer, it has become clear that touring and performing are too taxing on Deaner’s mental health to continue. As always, we thank you for your love, dedication, and ongoing support.”

There’s no information on when Ween will be ready to return to performing, but it’s clear that taking as much time as needed for recovery is the best course of action. I wish Deaner and the rest of the band all the best during this time.

It may not be common to describe a Christmas-set, unrated, obscenely grotesque gore-fest as a feel-good movie, but Damien Leone’s Terrifier 3 is precisely that.
Thankfully, Olivia Rodrigo was a good sport about it.
