A$AP Rocky & J. Cole Unite For “Ruby Rosary”

(????)

Rihanna definitely rolled her eyes at this song’s title.

We are on the verge of A$AP Rocky dropping his first album since TESTING in 2018, and there are a few reasons I’m eagerly anticipating its release. First, I’m excited to hear how his sound has evolved and matured over the years. Second, I’m curious to see if there will be any subtle (or not-so-subtle) disses aimed at Drake. Lastly, I’m looking forward to Rocky’s collaborations and seeing how he stacks up against some of the featured guests.

Today, a new single from the album, “Rubi Rosary,” featuring the one and only J. Cole, hit streaming services. This release follows the earlier singles “Taylor Swif” and “HIGHJACK,” which have already garnered significant attention.

“Ruby Rosary” features icy production courtesy of The Alchemist. A$AP Rocky leans into the track’s chilling vibe on the chorus, using a graceful rap style to flaunt his ice and express his disdain for the police. When it comes to his verses, Rocky switches things up with a punchier flow, calling out those who speak sideways about him and questioning shaky top 5 lists.

Then J. Cole steps in, and the track takes on a whole new level of dynamism. Cole brings a relentless flow and commanding tone, focusing on his relentless pursuit of money and reflecting on his unique come-up. He definitely snaps on his verse. Together, the two rappers form a solid connection, complementing each other’s styles in a way that makes “Ruby Rosary” a standout.

J. Cole has worked with Metro Boomin, Future, and A$AP Rocky since “First Person Shooters” was released. Loyalty is overrated.
