ScHoolBoy Q & The Alchemist Link Up For “Ferraris In The Rain”

Rating: 4 out of 5.

The Alchemist raps in this joint.

ScHoolBoy Q and The Alchemist have each had fantastic 2024s so far. Long ago, before 2024BKD (Before Kendrick vs. Drake), Q dropped what many consider the album of the year, Blue Lips. As for The Alchemist, he’s been crafting some of the year’s most memorable beats, including the eerie production for Kendrick Lamar’s “Meet The Grahams.”

Luckily for fans, while they’re hot, ScHoolBoy Q and The Alchemist are still cooking up more heat. Today, their new single, “Ferraris In The Rain,” hit streaming services. It’s from The Alchemist’s upcoming album, The Genuine Articulate.

As expected, the best part of “Ferraris In The Rain” is the production. It has this extravagant, celebratory feel mixed with gangsta vibes, like the kind of score you could imagine playing at a party where someone might get whacked—and, of course, you and I wouldn’t be invited. Over it, The Alchemist drops some cool, laid-back bars about his fly Rari, his exquisite fashion, and the global respect he commands. Honestly, it feels like something Action Bronson would release.

As for ScHoolBoy Q, his verse is completely unorthodox. He spits out random s**t, almost like he’s playing a drunk composer. Overall, it’s a very interesting listen that keeps you on your toes.

ScHoolboy Q bulls**ts on a lot of his tracks. It’s cool, though.
