Meek Mill Is Back With “ROBBIE SON”

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

I hate it when people forget to use ‘s (It’s the writer in me).

Meek Mill has had his fair share of run-ins with the law in the past, but lately, it’s Twitter that’s been on his case. Ever since Diddy was arrested on some very freaky charges, people have been scrutinizing Meek’s relationship with the mogul. However, let’s be clear—there’s no evidence of any wrongdoing on Meek’s part. Despite the drama, Meek has stayed focused on his music, dropping some serious heat. Last Friday, he released “CYBER TRUCK,” and earlier today, “ROBBIE SON.” He’s definitely not letting the noise slow him down.

“ROBBIE SON” showcases the version of Meek Mill that many fans, including myself, have been excited about. The track is driven by a dramatic beat with a nice tempo and subtle trap influences, creating a solid backdrop for Meek to keep it real. As for the Philadelphia native, he opens up about his relationships—whether with women, gang members, or people overseas—while also discussing what motivates him, like money, cars, and women. I really vibe with the urgency in his delivery, which makes the bars flow effortlessly and allows the punchlines to land smoothly. Overall, “ROBBIE SON” is worth a listen.

All of Meek Mill’s tracks sound like summaries of his life these days. That’s how it’s supposed to be, right?

It may not be common to describe a Christmas-set, unrated, obscenely grotesque gore-fest as a feel-good movie, but Damien Leone’s Terrifier 3 is precisely that.
