BIA & Lil Yachty Are “PISSED OFF”

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

Lil Yachty’s feature run continues.

Lil Yachty deserves some serious recognition for his ability to bridge the gap between older and younger generations in hip-hop. Over the past few months, he’s collaborated with a diverse range of artists, from James Blake to Veeze, demonstrating his impressive versatility. Meanwhile, BIA may not be as visible as Yachty, but she has released several singles this year that have caught my attention. Today, the two artists have teamed up for an electrifying new single titled “PISSED OFF.”

Where’s the manager? In “PISSED OFF,” BIA and Lil Yachty air their frustrations, venting about people getting on their nerves with silly rumors, lies, and messy behavior. Yachty also throws in some braggadocious flexing for good measure. Hands down, the best part of the track is the production—it’s intense, dark, and primed to shake up any club. Right behind that is BIA’s smooth delivery, sliding over the beat with her signature laid-back but fiery vibe. While Yachty had some confident moments, I couldn’t get past how he barely bothered to rhyme on this track.
