Toosii continues to inch closer and closer to superstardom with “JADED.”

HONORABLE MENTION
TOP 5
5. Clock Work
Ironically, “Clock Work” probably goes hard at 3 AM.
Who said love songs are dead and gone? “Clock Work” is the ultimate slow jam that can turn a bedroom upside down. In the track, Toosii sings silkily about being ready for some good vajayjay after putting in major work in the streets. What I find dope about the track is the intoxicating vibes it boasts. What I find great about the track is the hypnotizing chorus. What I find funny about the track is how Toosii hops and skips between sounding seductive and like a n***a that stays saying, “Don’t touch me.”
4. Fuk You Mean
Toosii doesn’t sound happy at all in this track.
I f**k with it, though. In “Fuk You Mean,” Toosii calls out his girl for being spoiled but not loyal. He mentions all the bags, diamonds, cars, and even burrito bowls he’s bought her over the years, yet he feels she’s unappreciative.
“Fuk You Mean” is driven by an emotional beat, emotional vocals delivered with intensity, and what I believe are genuine feelings. It’s the perfect autumn track to add to your playlist.
Toosii might as well file a fraud report.
3. Champs Elysee (Ft. Gunna)
Toosii and Gunna gotta make a collaboration album.
Toosii steps into Gunna’s realm with “Champs Élysées.” The track features smooth production with a laid-back vibe, allowing Toosii to deliver a catchy, melodic rap verse and hook where he raps about pampering women he barely knows and achieving his dreams. Gunna, true to form, adds his signature smooth flow, echoing themes similar to those of Toosii. Overall, the track is pretty damn good.
2. Party Girl Anthem
Toosii says he doesn’t party, so what’s this track all about?
On any given day, this track can end up as number one on this list. Backed by an outstanding drowned-out sample on the hook and a smooth-ass R&B beat that I love, Toosii effortlessly floats his ass off, delivering slick words about this woman he feels likes to party hard and probably wasn’t being treated right in the past. Any chance he’s talking about Hawk Tuah here?
Wait, is that, or is that not Fridayy on the hook? If it isn’t, Fridayy may need to file.
1. OK… Whatever (Ft. Kehlani)
Can you imagine how many new fans Toosii has gained now that he’s collaborated with Kehlani?
In “OK… Whatever,” Toosii and Kehlani are on some toxic s**t. The two singers talk about being in relationships where cheating and trust issues occur, yet, somehow, they always end up back where they started, which is together. The first thing that caught my attention about the track was the beat. It gives me “WAIT FOR U” by Future, Drake, and Tems vibes. From there, you get theatric, infectious performances by Toosii and Kehlani. Overall, I think this is one of those tracks that are impossible to dislike.

RGM RATING
(C+) (78%)
I said it on Twitter the other day: Toosii has become one of my favorite artists. Since he went on tour with Rod Wave, seizing some of his superpowers, I feel like he’s found a sound that works for him. What is that sound, you ask? This extra vulnerable, heartfelt sound. While I thought he abused it in his last project, in this one, he definitely used it properly.
Before jumping to conclusions about Toosii being a simp, take a moment to dive into his lyrics in JADED. Throughout the album, he addresses love and heartbreak with striking authenticity. Instead of indulging in clichés about relationships, he focuses on recognizing women who deserve respect while calling out those who don’t.
Toosii is an artist who shines in his simplicity, often sounding better when he embraces a laid-back style rather than trying too hard vocally. The chill production throughout his latest project complements this approach perfectly, creating an atmosphere that invites listeners to relax rather than dance. Each track maintains a mellow vibe, which adds to the overall listening experience and highlights Toosii’s ability to connect emotionally without overexerting himself.
With the weather getting cooler and the cuffers emerging from their dark tunnels, JADED is the perfect soundtrack to indulge in.
