Lil Durk & Hunxho Join Forces For “Late Checkout”

Rating: 3.5 out of 5.

Lil Durk has been flooding the streets with new music as of late.

Do you know what I find myself doing a lot? Saying Lil Durk’s next album is his most important. I said that right before he dropped Almost Healed, The Voice, and 7220. But now, I really mean it this time: Durk’s forthcoming album is his most important to date. I still believe he can reach another level with his music. As we anticipate its release, Durk has decided to drop a new single called “Late Checkout” with Hunxho.

Last week, we got a glimpse of demonic Lil Durk, and in “Late Checkout,” we see a more vulnerable side of him. In the track, he reminisces about the meaningful moments shared with his partner, reflecting on how she allowed him to be himself and grow. Featured artist Hunxho also pays tribute to his relationship, highlighting the loyalty and luxury they enjoy together. The song features an uptempo, emotional trap beat, with Durk delivering passionate melodic raps that real ones will appreciate. As for Hunxho, it almost sounds as if he recorded his part underwater. Overall, the track stands out as a compelling listen.
