TxTHEWAY Feels Like “Supermayne”

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

I love this track.

TxTHEWAY (T by The Way) is a Jamaican-American rapper based in Broward County, Florida. A few things make him stand out as a unique artist. Not only is he from a largely Caribbean neighborhood, which has allowed him to fully immerse in that culture, but he’s also honed his skills to the point where he dabbles in everything from hip-hop to R&B, soul, trap, and reggae. Tx’s latest single leans more toward the hip-hop side—it’s called “Supermayne.”

TxTHEWAY talks his s**t in “Supermayne.” Over production that features tons of bass and synths that give it a bit of a science fiction feel, Tx spits rugged bars about the big plays he makes when he’s in LA, the major checks he’s been getting lately, and the relentless mindset he has when it comes to destroying the competition. The thing I love most about the track is the chorus. It’s catchy and has a rhythm that I really enjoy. I also like how Tx comes across with a hella annoyed tone, as if he’s down to squabble with anyone who disagrees with his beliefs. Overall, if you’re a hip-hop junkie, you’ll like tracks like this one.
