Keonté Releses “DOUBLE BACK (REMIX)”

Rating: 4 out of 5.

This is for those R&B heads who don’t mind making babies on sight.

Keonté, a rising 24-year-old R&B artist from Dolton, Illnois, has a promising future as bright as stadium lights. The reason I say this is because he has a very strong voice, knows how to handle true, authentic R&B instrumentals, and is dynamic, often relying on elements from other genres to help him craft tracks. Some of Keonté’s biggest influences are Bryson Tiller, Drake, Tory Lanez, and Trevor Jackson, and trust me, if you like music from those guys, there’s a good chance you will like his. Keonté’s latest single is “DOUBLE BACK (Remix).”

DOUBLE BACK (Remix) sets the tone with a slow-burning, hypnotic beat that’s perfect for setting a mood. Keonté and guest artist Purplereiign trade verses about their turbulent relationship, where they admit their mutual influence but also hint at each other’s replaceability. Keonté brings a smooth, effortless flow, while Purplereiign’s vocals add an eccentric, neo-soul flair. Both seem fed up with each other, making their connection feel transient—yet the chemistry on the track still captivates.
