However, it seems the Louisiana rapper wants to end the year with impact. Last week, he released a new single titled “Renewed Ambition,” and today, he’s followed it up with another track, “FEEL.”
In “FEEL,” Kevin Gates reflects on a woman who significantly influences his perspective on growth, love, and intimacy. While he briefly flexes, the track is primarily introspective. The bass-heavy, almost celestial beat gives it a unique vibe, as if a trap Sade might sing over. Instead, Gates delivers raps with a subtle melody and an unorthodox flow, which doesn’t quite resonate with me. Maybe this track needed more time to stew…
