Capella Grey Claims the Top Spot as New York’s #1 Artist

Capella Grey is one confident guy.

One thing I will never bash a musician for is being confident. As a matter of fact, if you aren’t confident as a musician, I really wonder how long you will last in the game. Someone who’s extremely confident in his craft is Capella Grey. Recently, in an interview, he said he was the number one artist in New York.

I love that Capella Grey asks the right questions in this clip. He asks the interviewers what qualifies as number one before clarifying that he considers himself the top artist when it comes to crafting music. He also gives Nicki Minaj her flowers for being the most popular artist in New York, and A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie for being the hottest. Unfortunately, there was no mention of Desiigner.

As someone who has reviewed a few tracks by Capella Grey, I can confidently say his claims don’t sound that crazy. Capella is great at crafting infectious melodies and writing compelling verses. That said, claiming he’s number one might be a bit of a stretch.
