4. s2wik
Toss Craig David on this track, and it’s an instant hit.
I mean this with complete respect: Aminé feels like the rap version of Jared McCain. He’s all about having fun, even if it’s in a way that some folks from the trenches might not vibe with. That said, “s2wik” is a quirky, K-pop-inspired track where the Portland rapper pours his heart out about personal growth, navigating trials and tribulations, and finding the balance between playing it safe and taking risks. Overall, I love the song’s pace, Aminé’s gentle vocal delivery, and the messaging—it’s something everyone can relate to.
3. Wingz (Ft. Cardo Got Wings)
If they are lemon pepper wings, I’ll be there after taking this bowel break.
The bag Aminé is in on “Wingz” is exactly what made him such a beloved figure in the hip-hop scene. Over a smooth Cardo Got Wings beat, featuring laid-back vibes, heavy bass, and a nice tempo, Aminé delivers a blend of infectious melodies, dynamic flows, and sharp, witty lyrics. Overall, he exudes an effortlessly cool and carefree attitude, making it clear he has no patience for scandalous women or weak drinks. Simply put, this track is effortlessly cool.
2. Adam
Even in biblical times, Adam couldn’t be trusted.
“Adam” is the most experimental track on this album. In it, Aminé reveals his vulnerable side, engaging in deep, reflective conversations with a woman who’s clearly got his emotions in turmoil. The song’s backdrop is laid-back, with a gloomy vibe and just enough rhythm to make you nod along. Aminé’s delivery features moody, aching vocals that make it sound like both his heart and stomach are in pain. Hey man, love yourself.
1. Passenger Princess (Ft. Smino)
Aminé and Smino are the kind of superstars you get when your team drafts wisely.
“Passenger Princess” rides on a hard-hitting, old-school R&B-hop beat that gives off slight “Poetic Justice” vibes. Over this smooth production, Aminé and Smino trade verses about their whirlwind relationships, touching on themes of cheating, spoiling, and hitting home runs Juan Soto style. Both rappers deliver relentless flows, sounding effortlessly cool throughout. The way their unique styles layer seamlessly over the beat is one of the track’s standout qualities.

Through versatility, Aminé delivers a near-flawless EP. You have to be a fan of his to really appreciate it, though.
I just love how, from song to song, he has a little bit of fun, toys with a bunch of different flows, explores all kinds of beats, shows off some vulnerability, talks about actual meaningful s**t, and never has a dull moment. This is a very fun listen.
