J. Cole Announces Exclusive One-Night Concert at Madison Square Garden

It might be time to make a quick trip to New York.

J. Cole is clearly embracing the spirit of giving this season—just in time for the holidays. In recent days, he’s re-released some of his classic mixtapes on streaming platforms, including The Come UpThe Warm Up, and Friday Night Lights, announced an updated edition of his legendary 2014 Forest Hills Drive album, and now, he’s preparing to bless his New York City fans with a one-night-only concert experience.

Billed as a 10th-anniversary celebration of 2014 Forest Hills Drive, the show will take place on December 9th at Madison Square Garden. Presented by Chase and produced by Live Nation, this special event is set to transform an ordinary Monday into an unforgettable night of music and nostalgia for Cole fans.

I think people overreacted to J. Cole’s apology to Kendrick Lamar. While it was unprecedented in hip-hop and probably not something battle rap enthusiasts were thrilled to hear, it felt heartfelt and genuine, which deserves respect. As for the idea that it hurt his reputation—I can’t help but laugh at that. Cole is such a phenomenal artist that all it takes is great music and smart decisions for fans to embrace him again. And honestly, his recent moves have been nothing short of excellent.

Who’s trying to make a quick road trip to New York with me?
