A new honor out of many!
Taylor Swift’s newest album, The Tortured Poets Department, has been 2024’s top streamed album on Apple Music, alongside the star herself being named top streamed artist.
“Ahhhhhh thank you for listening to my music and TTPD so much,” the star said on her latest Instagram story. “You, the fans, made The Tortured Poets Department the TOP STREAMED ALBUM of The Year on @applemusic!!! You guys snagged me that Top Streamed Artist spot too!”
This is one of my many articles about Swift written for this site, and it’s one of several about her mind-blowing 2024. The Tortured Poets album in question, spent 15 weeks at the top of the Billboard 200 chart, alongside Rolling Stone‘s 100 Best Albums of 2024 list. Her recent Eras Tour was one of the most successful tours of all time, and her “childless cat lady” quote has been widely circulated on social media. Swift herself didn’t reprise the Artist of the Year award that she previously won in 2023, Billie Eilish scored that title this year, but still an awesome year for her that I’m convinced is not quite done yet.
