Dreamville Fest Is Coming To An End | RGM News

The end of an era.

Dreamville Fest, one of the most exciting concerts in hip-hop, has carved a unique niche in the music festival scene. Hosted in North Carolina, it shines a spotlight on a state often overlooked in the hip-hop world and boasts J. Cole, one of the genre’s most admired figures, at the helm. Over the years, the festival has drawn a stellar lineup of guest performers, offering attendees unforgettable experiences that have truly delivered on value.

Sadly, Dreamville Fest is coming to an end. According to Dreamville, next year’s festival, scheduled for April 5th and 6th, will be its final installment. Tickets are already on sale, marking the last opportunity for fans to experience this iconic event.

I wish I knew why Dreamville Fest is coming to an end, but I simply don’t. What concerns me is that their leader, J. Cole, has been acting like he’s on a retirement tour recently. He’s revisiting his older material, offering apologies on stage, and admitting in his songs that he lacked the hunger for rapping at one point. I hope this isn’t part of a larger plan for J. Cole to retire and shift into a consulting role.
