A new music feud, perhaps?
Is Oliver Anthony vs. Beyoncé the next Drake vs. Kendrick? Probably not, but it seems the country singer isn’t exactly a fan of Beyoncé.
In a YouTube video titled “What I’ve Learned from the Music Industry So Far…,” Anthony takes aim at Beyoncé’s album Cowboy Carter. He says, “One of the guys I worked with wanted me to make some stupid f**king post about Beyoncé’s country album, praising it… even though it was complete trash. It makes me want to throw up trying to listen to the beginning of her version of ‘Jolene.'” Anthony’s fans, such as the following tweet seem pretty passionate regarding the fued.

Country music is more than a genre, it's a culture, and Beyonce is a grifter or leech that has tried to exert her influence to extort the culture for monetary gain and nothing more.
I respect people like Oliver Anthony and Kid… pic.twitter.com/WGNGLJeTVy
He continues, “I was supposed to make a post… basically trying to associate myself with Beyoncé in hopes of us doing some kind of song together. How many people do that? How many artists do you follow on social media that have never even looked at their social media, and you’re just reading words and posts written by someone you’ve never even met that aren’t from the artist?”
In short, it doesn’t seem like a collaboration is coming anytime soon. Beyoncé hasn’t commented on Anthony’s harsh review. While Anthony wasn’t impressed with her cover of “Jolene,” Dolly Parton (the original singer) gave Beyoncé a glowing review, saying, “Well, I think it was very bold of her. When they said she was going to do ‘Jolene,’ I was expecting the regular one, but it wasn’t. I love what she did with it. As a songwriter, you love that people do your songs, no matter how they do them.”
