It has been a very slow news day.
Drake has been making headlines lately, and not always for the most flattering reasons. Whether it’s his ongoing beef with Kendrick Lamar, criticism about his recent music, legal drama with his record label, or those infamous ducklip selfies, the chatter has been anything but quiet.
However, this past weekend, Drake brought some lighthearted energy to the spotlight by hosting the first annual “Drake Lookalike” contest in Toronto. The event drew a wide array of contenders—Drakes with sharp haircuts, Drakes rocking barrettes, and Drakes with impressive beards. Interestingly, one thing was notably absent: a beardless Drake.

This contest walks a very fine line between cool and cringy. Let’s be real—trying to look like another man is a little wild. That said, for Drake, it feels like another notch in his “living my best life” phase, showing he’s not sweating the scrutiny that’s been circling him lately. At the end of the day, Drake shines brightest when he’s just having fun—and this event definitely leaned into that vibe.
I don’t know who won this award, and I don’t care to know who won.
