A very unfiltered livestream session to say the least!
Cardi B recently stirred up conversation with fiery comments on a livestream on X (formerly Twitter). Addressing the challenges of dating as a powerful woman, she stated, “Men love the idea of dating a boss a** b***h, but they can’t handle it. It messes with their insecurities or something.” Her blunt take has sparked debates online, with many discussing the dynamics of relationships involving successful and independent women.
The livestream received a mixed response from fans. Supporters praised Cardi B’s bold statements, with one fan commenting, “Peach! Say it louder for those in the back,” and another adding, “Most of y’all may not wanna hear what she’s got to say because y’all hate her for whatever reason, but she definitely just described 85% of Twitter in a nutshell. She did not lie one bit.” One fan humorously remarked, “14 minutes is crazy; all of this could be turned into lyrics for a whole album… just sayin’.”
On the flip side, critics were vocal in their disapproval. One person commented, “She’s starting to act like a certain someone. She says things and then gets confused when no one agrees with her. She needs a media break.” Another fan wrote, “THE BIGGEST INSECURE PERSON ON THE INTERNET TALKING ABOUT INSECURITIES LOL!”
Some fans struck a middle ground, agreeing with the core message but criticizing her delivery. One fan summarized this sentiment: “I’ve come to the conclusion that Cardi is not malicious; she’s just 100% stupid. Objectively, she’s right, but none of this applies here, which means she has issues understanding and still has much to learn. That’s the only explanation because she just contradicts herself.”
The rapper didn’t hold back in addressing the backlash, firing off a follow-up tweet: “This was not what the live was about. This was about how men are intimidated by women who make their own money because we’re not as easy to control. It’s also about how a man told me he’d rather date 6s instead of 10s. Y’all want to make it about ME so people can bully me.”
One fan sarcastically questioned her confidence, asking, “You actually call yourself a perfect 10?” Cardi clapped back with a fiery response: “I didn’t… but I AM a pretty face, a pretty frame, little feet, smell good, never got an odor—even when it’s that time of the month. Got that grippy, street smarts, a hustler, rich AF, and a God-fearing woman. Baby, I can upgrade a man’s life AND buy yours! A perfect 10!”
