21 Savage Ranks Atlanta Rappers Based On Lyrics

Of course, 21 had himself as 1.

When 21 Savage eventually steps away from his rap career, he’s sure to be remembered as one of the greatest to ever come from Atlanta. His unique style has influenced many, and his collaborations with some of the city’s biggest names, including Lil Baby, Future, and Drake, solidify his place in hip-hop history.

During a recent appearance on VicBlends’ Deepcut podcast, 21 Savage shared his personal top five Atlanta rappers based on lyrics. Not surprisingly, he ranked himself at number one, followed by:

1. 21 Savage

2. JID

3. Young Thug

4. Lil Baby

5. Future

Do I love this list? No, mainly because there are Atlanta-based artists like Ludacris, Killer Mike, T.I., and others who I believe are better lyricists than the ones 21 mentioned (well, besides JID). However, I do think his style of lyricism aligns with those guys, so it makes some sense. Overall, I think the list is solid for top rappers from Atlanta in general.
