Are artists faking their streams? Absolutely. Russ talks about this all the time, and I completely believe it. Do I think there are a bunch of fake streams tied to “Not Like Us?” Yes. Do I think the labels are behind these fake streams? No. To me, this lawsuit by Drake feels like a hail-mary attempt to either get back at his label or cut off whatever momentum “Not Like Us” has left. Honestly, if I were Drake, I’d want this song to disappear, but by doing this, he’s actually keeping it around longer.
Drake will probably get gentlemen swept in court if he tries to go forward with a lawsuit.
