Eminem Declares Kendrick Lamar Should Sweep the Grammy Awards | RGM News

One of the greatest rappers of all time thinks Kendrick deserves every Grammy he is nominated for.

Since we expanded our news coverage, I’ve written around 15 articles about Kendrick Lamar, with roughly half focusing on the countless accolades he’s amassed in recent months. No matter how you look at it, Kendrick has had an undeniably dominant and extraordinary year as a rapper. Among all his achievements, securing some Grammy wins could arguably be the pinnacle of his success. And it seems Eminem agrees.

In a recent interview, Eminem, who is also up for a Grammy for The Death of Slim Shady, admitted that Kendrick poses serious competition. He went on to say he expects Kendrick to win every award he’s nominated for this year.

There’s definitely a fine line between competition, being realistic, and giving credit where it’s due. In this case, I think Eminem—known for his competitive nature—is genuinely recognizing Kendrick Lamar’s excellence and simply giving him his flowers. At the same time, he’s being realistic: any Grammy Kendrick doesn’t win this year will undoubtedly feel like an upset.

It’s wild how the tables have turned, isn’t it? Over a decade ago, Kendrick was famously snubbed by Macklemore, sparking debates about his deservingness. Now, he’s the frontrunner, expected to sweep the Grammys, even against someone as legendary as Eminem—the greatest white rapper of all time. What a full-circle moment.

Do you think Kendrick Lamar will sweep the Grammys this year? Let us know in the comments section below.
