Young Thug’s “Slime Season” Trilogy Receives Vinyl Release | RGM News

That’s how you control the narrative, folks.

It’s been a bit strange to me how quiet things were regarding Young Thug after his release from jail, but lately, the news about him has definitely picked up, and unfortunately, it’s mostly negative. Yesterday, a video surfaced of Thugger and IG model Leena Sayed talking on a jail call, followed by another clip where he talks about having ten girls and mentions that Mariah The Scientist loves him a little too much. However, tonight, Thugger managed to score a couple of quick wins.

First, he apologized to his woman for all the negative attention surrounding them online. Second, he released some of his older work to both DSPs and vinyl. Today, he announced that the “Slime Season” series vinyl is now available, and “Slime Season II” will also be hitting DSPs.

Unfortunately, Slime Season II dropped before I started this site, so I don’t have a review for it. With Christmas tomorrow, I might just write one (but don’t hold your breath). That said, I really appreciate the move of using nostalgia to win people back. Whether it’s by coincidence or strategy, Thugger’s approach works for me.

Damn, hip-hop prioritized Christmas this time around. Good s**t!
