Yeah, I don’t see Pleasure P getting a single penny from this…
Lil Wayne’s career is nothing short of legendary—countless number-one hits, platinum records, and iconic collaborations. He’s undoubtedly a top-five rapper of all time (possibly even top two). Among his impressive catalog, “Lollipop” easily stands out as his biggest hit. While it’s well-known that Static Major (RIP) played a key role in the song, lending his unmistakable voice to the chorus, there’s another name claiming involvement: Pleasure P.
In a recent interview, Pleasure P revealed that he helped write “Lollipop” and is owed over $28 million for its success. Despite the song being released more than 17 years ago, he says he hasn’t been able to celebrate its monumental impact.

Stories like this always leave me conflicted. While I fully believe Pleasure P likely contributed to writing “Lollipop” (his sound is noticeable on the track), I also think if the song meant that much to him, he probably shouldn’t have given it away in the first place. That said, if he truly wrote it, he deserves to share in its success. It’s a tricky situation, but one that may have already passed its statute of limitations.
